India U-19 tour of England: Ayush Mhatre to lead, RR's Vaibhav Suryavanshi named in 16-member squad

Ayush Mhatre news IPL

The Junior Committee has named Chennai Super Kings (CSK) breakout star Aysuh Mhatre as captain of the India U-19 team for the upcoming tour of England starting from June. The tour will feature a 50-over warm-up game, followed by an exciting Youth One-Day series by two multi-day matches against England U-19. Apart from Mhatre, Rajasthan Royals (RR) Vaibhaiv Suryavanshi also features in the 16-member squad.

Suryavanshi is coming on back of a scintillating form, as the southpaw has scored 252 runs with a strike rate of 206.56. In an otherwise underwhelming campaign for RR, the 14-year-old has been the lone bright spark with his outrageous batting, and his game changing abilities. The RR opener's blazing century of 35 balls against GT, catapulted him into a social media frenzy.
