SRH's top order falters as Siraj’s 4/19 restricts Gujarat Titans to 152/8 Sunrisers struggle with the bat despite late fight from Pat Cummins
Heinrich Klassen and Nitish Kumar Reddy attempted to build their innings steadily, taking their time in the middle. The pitch had suddenly slowed down after the powerplay, becoming tricky as the ball was not coming onto the bat easily. Klassen, known for his hard-hitting, struggled at first but quickly regained his form, hitting three rapid boundaries, including a huge six targeting Sai Kishore.
However, the bowlers made a comeback with flatter deliveries, and Klassen misread the length while trying to pull a shot, ultimately losing his wicket.
Nitish Kumar Reddy, at the other end, was slowly pacing his innings, trying to take the game deep to finish strong. However, Sai Kishore once again halted the momentum, as NKR, looking to slog, mistimed a tossed-up delivery and was caught by Rashid Khan for 31 runs off 33 balls.

At this stage, the home team was struggling at 108/5 with four overs remaining. Despite this, SRH fans held onto some hope as Aniket Verma, the standout performer of the season, was in the middle alongside Kamindu Mendis. Aniket Verma rose to the occasion, taking on Prasidh Krishna with a boundary to kick off the death overs, but he lost his partner Kamindu Mendis, who was dismissed for just 1 run off 5 balls in the same over.
SRH captain Pat Cummins joined Aniket Verma at the crease and immediately targeted Ishant Sharma. Boundaries were hard to come by on this pitch, and SRH faced difficulties in clearing the fence, managing only one six throughout their innings.
Mohammed Siraj then came in to finish his spell, causing further trouble by dismissing Aniket Verma LBW and adding another wicket by damaging the timber of Simarjeet Singh with a reverse swing hitting the middle stump.
Siraj ended up with impressive figures of 4 wickets for 17 runs, dominating the rhythm of the struggling Sunrisers Hyderabad from the powerplay to his last over.
With just one over remaining, Ishant Sharma bowled with Pat Cummins on strike. The over started with a four and a six, exciting the crowd. However, Ishant Sharma fought back with two good deliveries, keeping Pat Cummins away from the strike, while Shami at the other end managed a lucky four. SRH concluded their innings with a total of 152 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs.
