Sanju Samson has been cleared by BCCI's Centre of Excellence to keep wickets moving forward in IPL 2025. Samson has donned the role of a specialist batter in the first three games and did not keep wickets for his side.
The Royals lost two out of their first three games in this year's IPL. Riyan Parag led the side in the first three games thus far. He lost to SRH and KKR as RR skipper before beating Chennai Super Kings in the last match.
Sanju Samson, who had fractured his right index finger that required surgery, traveled to Bangalore at the BCCI Centre of Excellence to seek clearance from the medical team. The injury kept Samson away from India's ODI series against England at home. He was also not a part of Team India's victorious Champions Trophy squad.

The medical team, after a proper assessment of Samson's finger, gave him the green signal to resume his wicketkeeping duties. This also means that he will return for the next match against Punjab Kings.
"Yes, he has cleared the final fitness tests at the NCA," a reliable source in the BCCI told TOI.
