Rajasthan Royals (RR) are chasing 189 runs to win against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The Royals had a tough end to thrir bowling innings as they conceded 77 runs in the last five overs.

DC, courtesy of some good lower-order batting posted 188 runs on the board for the loss of five wickets. However, they did not have a good start with the ball. DC pacers Mitchell Starc (20 runs off two overs) and Mukesh Kumar (24 runs off two overs) leaked runs in the first four overs of the Capitals innings.

Sanju Samson (31 runs off 19 balls) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (45 runs off 26 balls) provided the Royals with a solid start as the duo have already put up a 50-run stand. Both have played their shots and have taken the DC bowlers to the cleaners.

Sanju Samson Retired Hurt After The First 6 Overs

However, in the sixth over, Sanju Samson decided to retire hurt after picking up a side strain. The over was bowled by the leg spinner Vipraj Nigam. Samson failed to take advantage of the no-ball bowled by the leg-spinner and decided to get himself retired. Meanwhile, the Royals reached 63 runs after the first six overs.

The introduction of Vipraj helped DC slow down the pace of the game. A few of his deliveries turned in his very first over. Axar Patel introduced himself in the seventh over of the DC innings. The spinners were able to slow down the scoring rate and the pace of the game. Samson's departure also forced Jaiswal to slow down his scoring rate as well. In his second over, Axar Patel dismissed Riyan Parag (8 runs off 11 balls). Meanwhile, Yashasvi Jaiswal (45 runs off 26 balls) continued in his merry way and was key to Rajasthan posting

Earlier in the game, Delhi Capitals posted 188 runs for five wickets in their 20 overs. Abishek Porel ( 49 runs off 37 balls), KL Rahul (38 runs off 32 balls) Axar Patel (34 runs off 19 balls) and Tristan Stubbs (34 runs off 14 balls) did the bulk of the scoring for the Capitals. The final over from Sandeep Sharma went for 19 runs that helped Delhi post a good score and gave them the momentum heading into the break.

For the Royals, Jofra Archer picked up two wickets for 32 runs. Maheesh Theekshana went for 40 runs off his four overs and picked up one wicket. Wanindu Hasaranga went for 38 runs off his four overs and picked up a wicket.
