Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan Slide as Jacob Duffy, Tim Seifert Rise in ICC T20I Rankings

New Zealand pacer Jacob Duffy has rocketed to the numero uno position in the ICC Men’s T20I Bowling Rankings, overtaking West Indies' spinner Akeal Hosein.

The update follows Duffy’s standout showing in New Zealand’s 4-1 T20I series win over Pakistan. He is the first Kiwi to claim the top ranking since Ish Sodhi in 2018.

Duffy, a 30-year-old fast bowler, grabbed 13 wickets in the series, averaging just 8.38. His best came in the fourth game, taking 4 wickets for 14 runs to seal the series for New Zealand. That performance vaulted him past big names like Akeal Hosein, Varun Chakaravarthy, Adil Rashid and, Wanindu Hasaranga, who dropped one place each in the same order.

New Zealand’s Tim Seifert broke into the top 10. Seifert’s 249 runs in the Pakistan series, capped by an unbeaten 97 runs off 38 balls, fueled his climb. His opening partner, Finn Allen, rose one spot to 15th.

Australia's Travis Head retained the No. 1 position. India's Abhishek Sharma and England's Phil Salt are second and third on this list.
